English language samples

On this page you can watch/listen to oral language samples in Swedish. You can find an assessment scale for oral language skills here.

Later on, a formal assessment and verbal justification will be provided for each speaker. The page can then be navigated by skill level. You will also find the speakers’ self-assessments and reflections on the task.

The task is given to most speakers at the time of the recording, so the language you hear in the recording is spontaneous and unprepared. This may mean that you hear the speaker using filler words and thinking about vocabulary. The quality of the speech does not have to or should not match the quality of written text. Oral language skills are above all interactive and often take place in everyday situations, without preparation. Speakers may use a dictionary to look up individual words if they feel the need to do so.

EN Speaker 4: Combining subjects

Self assessment: C1.1.
